Aloha Gardens Collection System (FGUA) Pasco County LS #12 A wastewater spill was found occurring at LS #12 (2341 Chatlin Road, Holiday) beginning September 13, 2017; part of the Aloha Gardens collection system. Due to the rainfall, flooding and power outages caused by Hurricane Irma, the collection systems became surcharged causing a surge in flows being received and LS #12. The increased hydraulics overwhelmed the system, the lift station pumps which discharge to the Pasco County Utilities force main are unable to consistantly keep up with the flow volume received. The spill has ceased as of 5:00 pm today (September 19, 2017). The entire spill has been contained within the onsite disposal pond (old effluent disposal pond). An exact volume is difficult to determine due to the fact that the discharge was not continuous during this time frame. 09/19/2017 19:46 EDT Aloha Gardens Collection System (FGUA) Pasco County LS #12 2341 Chatlin Road; Holiday FL; 34652 Pasco Melisa Rotteveel US Water Services mrotteveel@uswatercorp.net (866) 753-8292 Operator Of the Facility Melisa Rotteveel (866) 753-8292 mrotteveel@uswatercorp.net 28.193364 -82.76187 09/13/2017 12:00 EDT No 09/19/2017 17:00 EDT Incident Location

Jungle Den Wastewater Treatment Facility Hurricane Irma had statewide impacts, including rainfall and river surges. As a result, flooding was experienced throughout the Jungle Den community in Astor, which initially submerged facility lift stations and collection system manholes. As power is being restored, increased hydraulics are being received at the wastewater facility, the flows reported this week to the facility are >0.220 mgd. A visit to the site earlier today found effluent disposal pond discharging on the north side to the adjacent grounds and drainage ditch. It is estimated that >1000 gallons has been discharged, discharge is currently ongoing. We will continue to monitor and provide updates to the status of the pond levels 09/19/2017 14:44 EDT Jungle Den Wastewater Treatment Facility 1901 Alice Drive; Astor FL; 32102 Volusia Melisa Rotteveel US Water Services mrotteveel@uswatercorp.net (866) 753-8292 Operator Of the Facility Melisa Rotteveel (866) 753-8292 mrotteveel@uswatercorp.net 29.172526 -81.525119 09/19/2017 11:00 EDT No Incident Location
