Venetian Village Wastewater Treatment Facility Received report from the operator that upon visiting the site at approximately 4:00 pm this afternoon, found the West effluent disposal pond at the Venetian Village Wastewater Treatment Facility discharging over the berm to the wooded/marshy area and swale adjacent to the the plant. The elevated pond and subsequent discharge is a result of Hurricane Irma which created area flooding and power failures which contributed to high collection system levels and increased flows through the treatment plant and effluent disposal ponds. It is estimated that >1000 gallons has been discharged, discharge is currently ongoing. Operator will continue to monitor and report as required. Update: Discharge has ceased as of 09/19/2017 @ 1300 pm. Influent flows are returning to those received during routine operations 09/17/2017 20:25 EDT Venetian Village Wastewater Treatment Facility 31 Tammi Drive; Tavares FL; 32778 Lake Melisa Rotteveel US Water Services mrotteveel@uswatercorp.net (866) 753-8292 Operator Of the Facility Melisa Rotteveel (866) 753-8292 mrotteveel@uswatercorp.net 28.758897 -81.688619 09/17/2017 16:00 EDT No 09/19/2017 13:00 EDT N Incident Location

OCU Northwest WRF 9-16-17 Loss of facility power caused the reject flow from the sand filters to the lift station to be higher due to the loss of air and the loss of power to operate the effluent pump causing the contact tanks to overflow. 50,000 gallons of chlorinated and partially chlorinated treated wastewater (reclaimed water) was discharged and flowed to the onsite west storm water retention pond. The pond retained the discharge; the pond water level was (and remains) 3 feet lower than the pond outfall invert elevation. 09/17/2017 16:28 EDT OCU Northwest Water Reclamation Facility 701 W.
