This was confirmed by Mr. Evo an employee of a landscape, paint, fix-up and repair contractor who do continual work on Kelly Tractor Co. facilities. Because this paint is old, it has been poured into our 55 gallon liquid paint waste drum and the residue will be allowed to dry and harden in the original container. In Building Two the ‘System One’ parts washing machine has been cleaned out. The three unlabeled 30-gallon drums with old, dirty mineral spirits have been emptied into the 55 gallon drum pictured and labeled with the date of accumulation 11/26/2012. In regard to some follow-up questions: FCC also handles our sandblasting material waste, oily water, wash pad sludge, non-hazardous absorbents and sample bottles with oil residue. The parts washer units have a spin on filter on the back. The parts washers identified as ‘Wash’ have a 15 micron filter and the units identified as ‘Finish’ have a 6 micron filter. Wash units are for dirty parts and Finish is for cleaner parts or the second step in cleaning. Changes of these filters vary. Cleaning dirty parts on the finish unit can cause the filter to plug much quicker. The amount of use the unit is getting can make a big difference. A Finish unit may need the filter cleaned every 2 weeks or more. A Wash unit could go 2 or 3 months. There is a lot of variation possible. The spent filters go in with used oil filters and used fuel filters. The facility has two vertical, steel, double-walled, 1,000 gallon above –ground tanks for Used Oil. Two tanks, 1,000 gallons each. Let me know if further clarification needed. Your other questions in this group will be answered shortly, when I can confirm the answers.
