Pump Station # 3444 Cannongate, 03-03-19 OCU Pump Station # 3444 Cannongate is under construction. Prime Construction set up a bypass pump to reroute the wastewater flow while the pump station is out of service. The bypass pump is conveying wastewater from a manhole upstream of the pump station into the force main system via the pump out. The bypass pump got clogged with rags causing the bypass system to fail. As a result, the gravity system upstream of the bypass system surcharged. Two OCU manholes located on Ravencreek Drive (Asset #s 34440001 and 34440002) and two private manholes located on the Cannongate Apartment Complex┐s property overflowed. The majority of the discharge emerged from manholes located on the Cannongate Apartment Complex┐s property. Storm water inlet boxes on this property drain to storm water ponds west of the property located in an area that was formerly a golf course. Wastewater was recovered from the storm drainage systems. A full recovery was made from apartment complex. However, on the Ravencreek Drive side, up to 500 gallons discharged to the canal/ditch, Additionally, all affected surfaces were washed down and deodorizer applied. The approximate gallons released and recovered are estimated to be as follows: 1,200 gallons released, 20,000 gallons recovered, 500 gallons unrecovered, and 500 gallons discharged to surface water. There is little or no potential risk to public health, safety or welfare. 03/04/2019 16:00 EST 5612 Long Iron Drive ; Orlando FL; 32839 Orange Allison Freese Environmental Engineer Allison.Freese@ocfl.net (407) 836-6944 Environmental Engineer Troy Layton, Manager, Field Services (407) 254-9977 Troy.Layton@ocfl.net 28.477531 -81.41781 03/03/2019 16:10 EST No 03/03/2019 18:30 EST Incident Location
