Hurricane Irma came thru the area knocking out power to all of our City¿s liftstations. Crews went around and placed generators as well as taking mobile generators from site to site. Crews did what they could to keep up and to mobilize immediately upon seeing or receiving a call of manhole overflow.
Currently, our only server that is running is for e-mail and internal files. Internet access is not up and running. I currently do not have Lat/Long avail. |

Reclaimed Water Overflow |
Approximately 6 MG to 20 MG of treated effluent overflowed from ground storage tanks at the Apopka WRF. The event was due to a combination of excess flows from Hurricane Irma and a loss of power. The onsite backup generator for the plant's reuse system is not capable of running all of the high service pumps and could therefore not send water out as fast as it was being put into the tanks. Power was not restored to the plant until 9/13 at approximately 1630 hours. |
