
Palmetto Leaves Regional Park
Palmetto Leaves Regional Park offers passive and active recreational amenities in southeast Jacksonville near Interstate 95. The park, bordered on the north by Greenland Road and on the south by Old St. Augustine Road, provides a 424 acres of buffer protection for Julington Creek and for the Julington/Durbin Creek Special Management Area located downstream of the site. The majority of this site is protected bottomland swamp along Julington Creek and its tributary Big Davis Creek, cypress swamp and upland mixed forest communities. Youth softball fields, restrooms, and parking are located off Greenland Road. The Old St. Augustine portion of the park offers a paved walking trail, picnicking, and paddling in Big Davis Creek from the park's canoe/kayak launch.
