Barr Hammock Preserve

The 5700-acre Barr Hammock Preserve is located just west of Micanopy, Florida in southern Alachua County. The 6.5 mile Levy Loop Trail is accessed from Wacahoota Road, between US 441 and SR121. The trail provides vistas of restored freshwater marsh, and swamp forests. The trail is located on an elevated levee that surrounds the marsh. The Preserve is open 8 am to 6 pm November through April and 8 am to 8 pm May to October.
