Padgett Park at Town Center
The 17 acre site land is bordered to the north and south by Point Washington State Forest, to the east by South Walton High School, and to the west by the access road (J.D. Miller). The park was named in honor of Timothy Padgett, a Special Forces Medical Sergeant from Walton County who died in 2007 in Afghanistan. Padgett Park was opened to the public in the summer of 2013. Park amenities include a picnic pavilion, playground, observation platform, splash pad, ΒΌ mile nature trail, bike rack, recreational center and bathrooms, park benches, stormwater improvement facility and parking.
