Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park
This park has been designed to the Downtown's neighborhood park, while celebrating the unique history of the site as a Native American settlement; the location of Fort Brooke, which was one of the US Army headquarters for the Seminole Wars of Removal; and as one of the many wharves of the working waterfront of Tampa. Adjacent to the Riverwalk, the park also features a playground, shoreline restoration, event area, canoe/kayak launch, and a memorial to the Seminole Indians.
