
Palmetto Estuary Park
The beautiful Palmetto Estuary Park is a 20-acre site located on the Manatee River. This award winning park is a surprisingly tranquil haven, easily accessible on U.S. Highway 41/301. The estuary currently contains threatened habitats, as identified by the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council. The large mangrove swamp and estuarine habitat is utilized by a large number of listed wading birds such as Roseate spoonbill, limpkin, little blue heron, snowy egret, tricolor heron, white ibis and wood stork.
