Coco Plum Beach
Coco Plum Beach is a 29 acre beach and wetland area located approximately 1 mile from Overseas Highway (US 1) on the Atlantic Ocean side of Coco Plum Beach Drive in the City of Marathon. This natural sandy carbonate beach has long been a favorite spot with visitors seeking a quiet place to get away from it all. The beach and saltmarsh wetlands serve as a feeding and resting ground for migratory and wading bird species, including the summering least tern, the roseate tern, the peregrine falcon, and the roseate spoonbill. Coco Plum Beach is also a nesting area for green turtles and loggerhead turtles.
