Serenoa Glades Preserve
Serenoa Glades Preserve is a small preserve (9 acres), adjacent to and entered through George Snow Park (1101 NW 15th Street). The Preserve's natural communities include both Florida Scrub and Scrubby Flatwoods. A paved ADA compliant walkway and informational kiosk provide easy access and seasonal information for all visitors. The preserve shares a parking lot with adjacent George Snow Park (5.6 acres), a recreation site with playground, tennis courts, restrooms and picnic shelters. Though already loaded with songbirds and butterflies, the reintroduction of native Florida coontie has resulted in a healthy population of Florida Atala butterflies. Most wildlife viewing is at its best early in the day, and during bird migrations.
