South Lake Howard Nature Park

Numerous people visit South Lake Howard Nature Park each day to walk, bike and roller blade the one mile of paved looped trail while observing wildlife interacting along the shorelines. Nearly 1000 feet of boardwalk provides a nice vantage point to fish, observe wildlife, and overlook Lake Howard which is on the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes. Educational signage explains the project's significance in protecting water quality and the watershed of the Peace River Basin.
