Locklear Park
Locklear Park is a public open space with a 3/4 mile paved fitness trail, park benches, picnic pavilion, restroom and children's playground. There is ample paved parking and all sites are handicap accessible. Locklear Park was created during Sarasota County's 2002 construction of the Lockwood Ridge/Bahia Vista Flood Protection Project which is designed to protect adjacent homes north of Phillippi Creek from flooding during severe rain events.
