Pinelands Preserve
Dominated by slash pine and cabbage palm, the 750-acre property is an excellent example of a natural pine flatwoods community. An observation tower overlooks a large sawgrass wetland. Deer, turkey and sandhill crane are commonly observed along the entrance road. Egrets, herons, and wood storks are often seen foraging in the adjacent reservoir.
