Wrights Creek

Lands purchased with funds made available through the FCT program have enabled the threatened and anthropogenically impacted Wright's Creek property to successfully revert to a pristine cypress swamp environment. Prior to its acquisition timber harvesting and residential development had threatened the fragile floodplain ecosystem. Holmes County maintains a primitive boat ramp park which is in close proximity to Wrights Blue Spring and Hidden Spring in Wrights Creek and provides direct access to the Choctawhatchee River system.
