High Ridge Scrub

The 39-acre High Ridge Scrub Natural Area contains Florida scrub and scrubby flatwoods communities. Sand was mined from the center part of the site for over 10 years, leaving a large, deep open area. The natural area is open to the public for environmental education and passive recreational activities such as hiking, nature photography and bird watching.
