Cradle Creek Preserve

The Cradle Creek Preserve is a public nature preserve and park located within the salt marshes of the Pablo Creek Intracoastal Waterway (ICW), in the City of Jacksonville Beach. The 36.5-acre preserve opened in 2006 on one of the few remaining upland parcels in the city adjacent to the Pablo Creek marshes. One trail spur leads from the parking area to a raised wildlife observation platform overlooking the marshes to the northwest, and the other loops thorough a mature, 28-acre hardwood hammock to a canoe/kayak landing and dock along the southern edge of the preserve, providing water access to and from Pablo Creek. Bird watching is a popular pastime at the preserve, as its location and pristine condition make it an excellent site for migrant songbirds and shore birds.
