Malabar Sanctuary Greenway-Richard E. Cameron Wilderness Preserve

The site is south of Turkey Creek Sanctuary Park in the City of Palm Bay and includes two tributaries to Turkey Creek. The park will provide nature trails, bridle paths and interpretive signage. The project site is vegetated by blackwater creek, sand pine scrub, xeric hardwood, hydric hammock and depressional marsh communities. Listed animal species using the site as habitat include the gopher tortoise, scrub jays, american alligator, indigo snake, and various bird species.
