Saw Palmetto Natural Area aka Hillsboro Pineland

The project is located in northwestern Broward County in the City of Coconut Creek. The project is a key component in a mosaic of natural lands that Broward County is acquiring to form a greenway and wildlife corridor. FCT has previously funded two components of the greenway, Hillsboro Pineland ESL Addition (03-012-FF3), and Helene Klein Pineland Preserve (03-011-FF3). The project contains pine flatwood communities which will be preserved. A nature trail and observation platform is provided.
