Whispering Woods Park

The project is located in the City of Coral Springs in northwestern Broward County. The project is located in a highly urbanized area of the City adjacent to an existing nature preserve, the Red Lichen Sanctuary. The project site has received outstanding community support from the neighboring community, which has agreed to contribute $50,000 towards the development and maintenance of the site. The project provides a playground, picnic pavilion, nature trail, and wildlife observation area. The project will enhance the City's Bikeways and Walkways Plan by adding additional trails and trailhead facilities. Proposed habitat enhancements include a wetland creation area, and burrowing owl preserve.
