
Vaill Point Park
A 22-acre park located along Moultrie Creek in St. Johns County, Vaill Point Park provides users with many different recreational opportunities. The park consists of a 1 1/2 mile paved trail for biking and hiking, educational signage about the unique environment, historic resources, salt marsh habitat and nesting bald eagles. The site also contains a canoe/kayak launch, fishing pier, picnic pavilions with grills and benches, water fountains, restrooms, parking lot and three play structures. This park has become a haven for bird watchers as the Audobon Society, in conjunction with St. Johns County Recreation and Parks Department, offers nature hikes and bird identification classes.
