Cypress Bend Community Preserve aka Russell Grove

The property is located in northeastern Indian River County, just west of the City of Sebastian. The site is adjacent to the 22,000-acre St. Sebastian River State Buffer Preserve State Park and includes a portion of the St. Sebastian River, a designated Aquatic Preserve. This acquisition will enhance public access to the St. Sebastian River, protect surface water quality, expand the adjacent public preserve and restore an area impacted by an existing citrus grove. Recreational amenities proposed for the site include a nature trail, fishing pier and wildlife observation overlook.
