Highland Scrub Natural Area

This area is a fragment, at 30 acres, of a very rare scrub community consisting of sand pine and scrub oaks with a subcanopy of saw palmetto, small scrub oaks, gopher apple and prickly pear cactus. There is a concrete loop trail, interpretive signage, benches and a shelter.
