Galt Preserve

Galt Preserve is located in western Lee County on Pine Island. The property contains predominantly natural communities including a tidal swamp, scrubby flatwoods, and mesic flatwoods. These communities, in conjunction with the existing preserve, provide suitable habitat for numerous listed species, including the indigo snake and wading birds. The Preserve provides excellent opportunities for public recreation and enjoyment, such as hiking trails. wildlife observation deck, fishing pier, picnic pavilion, and canoe/kayak launch.
