Ansin Tract

The project site is located in northern Indian River County. It is adjacent to the 22,000-acre St. Sebastian River State Buffer Preserve and a county-owned park, Canoe Launch Cove. Acquisition of the project protects a greenway corridor along the St. Sebastian River, preserve a portion of the historic Trans-Florida Railroad bed, and provide passive recreational opportunities. The property contains pine flatwoods, bottomland forest, and blackwater stream. Recreational improvements include a nature trail with educational signs and a proposed wildlife observation platform.
