Jones Swamp Wetland Preserve and Nature Trail

Jones Swamp Wetland Preserve is part of the 1,300-acre protected watershed in an urban core. The Preserve is a recreational greenway while also providing buffering and improvements in the Pensacola Bay System. The Jones Swamp Trail located on the east side of the Preserve, runs along Jones Creek and gives hikers the opportunity to view a variety of native plants and wildlife. Future plans for the Jones Swamp Trail and the 'Southwest Greenway' include expanding the trail to traverse 15 miles of the Preserve from Lexington Terrace Park to Tarklin Bayou State Recreational Preserve.
